About the Hotel Villa Royale Montsouris
From the outside this Paris 3 star hotel facade looks just like any other, but the second you enter the Hotel Villa Royale Montsouris, you are immersed into an unusual place to stay, with the lobby itself being designed in an Andalusian-Moorish style.
A representation of the charms of the Orient incorporating colonnades and vaulted ceilings, copper, zelliges and wrought iron, which make it feel like a traditional Moroccan riad, especially with the traditional Majorelle blue colour and floor tiles utilised by the Villa Royale Montsouris as well.
Different touches have also been added to enhance the theme of this unusual hotel in Paris such as the ochres of the earthenware and the reds of the floor tiles through to draperies, sheer curtains and rich fabrics, with the wrought iron utilised as headboards, on picture and mirror surrounds, within the lobby and breakfast room, etc.
