The Kube Hotel Paris takes its inspiration from Scandinavian design with its energy and harmony including many of the features being like a cube, so hence the name, and having been recently renovated this is an unusual 4 Star Hotel in Paris with up to date technology and plush fittings that is also suitable for the disabled.
Upon entering the courtyard through its large gates, you enter the hotel via a cube, and the reception desk itself is also in the middle of a small glass cube, which is a 24 hour reception that has multilingual staff and full concierge services for making restaurant reservations, booking tickets for shows, organising airport transfers and much more.
Facilities at the Kube Hotel Paris include a luggage hold where you can drop off your bags early or pick them up later after checkout, a laundry service, free WiFi throughout the hotel, fax services, parking including valet parking, plus there is room service and even babysitting is available.
A buffet breakfast is served each morning, or you can opt for a continental style breakfast delivered to your room and being fully air conditioned or heated depending upon the time of year this 4 star hotel in Paris also has its own interior courtyard style garden, again with unusual features where you can enjoy relaxing.
However, for those of you who wish to keep fit, there is a fully equipped fitness room with the latest gym equipment that is open to guests 24 hours a day with complementary towels and bottles of water provided, yet you can also organise tailor-made fitness sessions with a qualified trainer.

One of the main features and unique to Paris, is the Ice Kube Bar, where you will be able to experience temperatures of 18 degrees below zero while enjoying Grey Goose Vodka drinks at this bar made completely out of over 20 tons of ice. But there is also a bar and restaurant downstairs, which is referred to as La Table du Kube, but also Apres after the renovations and this can also be privatised for special events. However it is also the hotel restaurant that has become a popular place for films makers and fashion show after parties with a chic and hip clientele, meaning smart dress is required, plus DJ evenings and other events are organised here.
The menu is the Kube Hotel's vision of basic French gastronomy that does change with the seasons, but for a cost of approximately €10 per person you could enjoy starters such as a Homemade terrine and country bread, Marine salmon with coriander, beetroot and dill or for an additional charge Cassolette of truffle cups.
Main courses are approximately €20 and could be Pesto and old parmesan risotto or orzo, young wild shoots, Bourguignon with beef cheek and gnocchi, for an additional charge Turbot trunk, green vegetables sauteed, anchovy velout sauce or for two people costing around €45 there is the Farmhouse lamb confit and coconut Paimpol.
For a dessert at La Table du Kube or Apres you could just choose a cheese platter but other options are on offer as well, such as a Tart all chocolate and meringue, The egg with the snow, English cream and caramel with the ladle or served for two people there is the Passionate Norwegian omelette, flambeed with Cointreau.

There are a total of 40 rooms and suites at the Kube Hotel Paris, which have all been designed in a Scandinavian contemporary style with the categories being referred to like you would purchase off the peg clothes, going from M, L, XL and XXL for a unique and unusual accommodation option.
Each of the rooms and suites has been designed to be minimalistic, yet comfortable with all the extras you would expect to see in a 4 star hotel, but continuing the theme of cubes and also utilising plexiglass, plus there are unique contemporary art works on display by two local artists, Janol Apin and Nathalie Roux.
Very spacious, especially for Paris standards, each of the rooms comes with an en suite bathroom with a large bathtub, complementary toiletries, bath robes, hair dryer and heated towel rail along with a separate toilet for added privacy.
All rooms at the Kube Hotel Paris have been individually designed and are decorated with a mix of black and white, design objects, flashy colours and luxurious comfort, yet good lighting and overlooking the interior courtyard, plus some of the beds are suspended and have blue LED backlighting.
They come with a desk, flat screen TV with international channels, direct dial telephone, personal safe, mini bar, coffee machine and free WiFi, not forgetting room service is also available and some even have a terrace.
The smallest of the rooms is the M or M Superior Room, which is an approximate size of 25 metres squared and comes with a king size bed or two separate beds, then you have the L Room at an approximate size of 35 metres squared.
The XL is known as the XL Junior Suite that is around 40 metres squared and then you have the XXL Terrasse at a similar size but with the addition of a 25 metre squared terrace as well, and both of these classes of room are suitable for up to three people, whereas the rest only cater for two people.
However, the ultimate room at this themed and unusual hotel is called the Nordik Suite, which is unique in Paris and has been designed to feel like an actual iceberg adrift. Measuring approximately 45 metres squared this is located at the far north of the Ice Kube Bar, also overlooking the courtyard comes with an even larger oversized bathtub, a lounge area and a terrace for additional space and comfort.
Access to the Kube Hotel Paris
Now when it comes to getting to the Kube Hotel Paris, you will find it is tucked away in a quiet street in the 18th Arrondissement and the nearest Metro station is the La Chapelle stop serving metro line 2, however a little further walk in the opposite direction you have the Marx Formoy stop serving metro line 12.
Yet the Paris bus numbers 35 and 38 along with the Noctilien Night Bus Service via bus line N43 will also get you very close to this unusual hotel with its ice bar, or again, a little further away you have the options of the bus lines 45, 48 and 302.
