About Hotel Royal Phare
Situated in the 7th Arrondissement within easy walking distance to many famous and monuments in Paris including the historical Les Invalides with its canons and museums plus the iconic Eiffel Tower and many others, it is also only a few steps from the Ecole Militaire Military school and the Paris Metro station of the same name is right opposite, which can get you to places like the Palais Garnier Opera House and the famous tree lined Avenue des Champs Elysees.
Hotel Royal Phare is one of the 2 star hotels in Paris that is located within a typical old Parisian townhouse style building with the convenience of having a small supermarket next door that is open until late.
Completely renovated in 2016 to provide comfortable accommodation with double glazing and air conditioning throughout, there is also a very small lift to access the rooms that are spread over 6 floors. However, we would like to point out that although they can accommodate people with cognitive and sensory disabilities, unfortunately it is not suitable for those with mobility problems and wheelchair users.

Hotel Royal Phare has a 24 hour reception and staff that are able to speak English as well as French who are willing to help answer any questions and provide advice, plus there are numerous Paris tourist attractions leaflets to provide additional ideas of places to visit while in this amazing city.
Also by the reception there are tables and chairs, where you can sit and relax or utilise the free WiFi to keep in touch with friends and loved ones back home, which is also where a typical French continental style breakfast is served including a hot beverage, fruit juice and croissant for a very nominal cost compared to many of the restaurants and cafes in Paris that are located within the area.

As you read earlier, the rooms at Hotel Royal Phare were completely renovated in 2016 to provide clean, comfortable and light rooms with subtle colours including soft blue and beige, and all are soundproofed and have air conditioning.
Each room comes with a modern en suite bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and basic complementary toiletries are also provided within the Superior rooms, which is very unusual for a 2 star Paris hotel.
The Classic rooms are generally considered small and compact, yet do have a desk or work space, free WiFi, telephone, personal safe, flat screen TV with Satellite channels and minibar style fridge, which are designed for one person or two people with a double bed.
The Superior rooms at Hotel Royal Phare are approximately 18 metres squared and also coming with a modern spacious en suite shower room but with welcome products toiletries, you can opt for a twin room or a double room with large bed.
Additionally, this 2 star hotel offers Superior rooms with a view of the Eiffel Tower, the Eglise du Dome at Les Invalides where you will find the Tomb of Napoleon or a view towards the Tour Montparnasse Tower in the distance.
Access to the Hotel Royal Phare
Located in the 7th Arrondissement, when it comes to reaching the Hotel Royal Phare via transport in Paris, you will find it located very close to the Ecole Militaire Military School where Napoleon Bonaparte once studied and it is here you have the Ecole Militaire Metro station serving Metro Line 8.
Around here you could also utilise the Paris bus lines 28, 80, 82, 86, 92, yet by going in the opposite direction from the hotel heading towards the River Seine and you could utilise the bus lines 42, 69 and 86 located by the Champ de Mars Gardens, all of which are within very easy walking distance.
Whereas the nearest RER train station is situated in a in a north, north easterly direction you have the Invalides station, which serves the RER C train line along with being a Metro stop for line 8 and line 13.
For those of you who are interested in discovering more of Paris and seeing tourist attractions in other parts of the city that are not within walking distance of Hotel Royal Phare, you could opt for one of the tours in Paris and there are several companies that provide bus tours.
To start with you have OpenTour who operate a hop on and hop off tour bus service with open top double decker buses and having three different routes you can enjoy, on the Grand Tour Blue tour route you will need stop 14, called the Tour Eiffel stop on the Quai Branly.
Then you have Big Bus Paris, which also offer a hop on and hop tour service, and the nearest stop is in the middle of the Champ de Mars gardens by the fountains, which is on the Red tour route as stop 2 on the Avenue Joseph Bouvard.
However, for something different, you could also enjoy the Batobus, which is a water bus operating a hop on and hop off service up and down the River Seine with docking stations close to many popular tourist attractions including the famous Louvre Museum, with their main dock being at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, right by some of the River Seine sightseeing boat tours including Bateaux Parisiens who also do dinner cruises.
Although, if you are thinking of getting to Chateau de Versailles for a day out, but would rather not utilise public transport in Paris to get there, you will find a company called Versailles Express who operate a package tour service as well as a shuttle service to and from the famous former royal palace, which is also located at the base of the Eiffel Tower and within walking distance of the Hotel Royal Phare.
