About Hotel Galileo
The Hotel Galileo is located within a historical building that has still retained some of its original features including a 17th century fireplace, yet these have been combined with a more contemporary style and some Art Deco touches from the interior designer Natasha Stojkovic.
There are different walls and surfaces along with works such as Les Deux de Miroirs by Tamara de Lempicka, and designed in a classic style this 3 Star hotel has modern facilities such as air conditioning and a lift, but it also has a contemporary, yet cosy feel, with a brass railed staircase, unusual lampshades, neutral subtle colours and a garden where you can relax when the weather permits.
Facilities and Services at Hotel Galileo
In fact, there are two lounge areas, one with the historical fireplace and the other that opens onto the garden, where you can relax with one of the International newspapers or other magazines plus enjoy a hot beverage, soft drink or even wine served by the glass from the bar.
With a 24 hour reception and multilingual staff, they offer concierge services such as booking tickets for museums or shows in Paris, making restaurant reservations, helping to organise airport transfers and much more to ensure you get the most out of your stay within the City of Lights.
The Hotel Galileo is one of very few hotels in Paris with parking available on site, although with very limited space this must be booked well in advance and it incurs an additional charge of approximately €30 per day.
Free WiFi is also available throughout the hotel, plus there is a computer and printer located by the bar, and for people travelling on business secretarial services are also available upon request. In addition, there is a facility called the Nomadic WiFi, which provides hi speed internet in and outside the hotel. Being compact and light, with no roaming charges or changes of SIM and able to connect up to 10 different devices at any one time, this is a very helpful gadget for those of you that require connectivity all the time, whether on a Smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc.

Access to Hotel Galileo
Now when it comes to getting to the Hotel Galileo, as we mentioned earlier, there is hotel parking available for a charge for those of you with your own car, but by public transport in Paris, you will also find this very easy as it is close to numerous different Paris tourist attractions such as the Statue of Winston Churchill in the grounds of the Petit Palais and the Champs Elysees Gardens.
The nearest Metro station is the George V stop serving metro line 1, yet a little further walk away in a northerly direction right by the Arc de Triomphe and you have the Charles de Gaulle - Etoile stop serving lines 1, 2 and 6, but this is also an RER train station serving the RER A line.
Alternatively you have the Paris bus Lines 22, 30, 31, 52, 73, 92 and 341 along with the Noctilien Night Bus Service via lines N11, N24, N53 and N153 will also get you within walking distance of the Hotel Galileo.
In addition, if you are travelling to or from Orly Airport or Charles de Gaulle Airport, then you may be pleased to know that Les Cars Air France, now called Le Bus Direct, has a stop at the Place Charles de Gaulle for a bus directly to either Paris airport.
