The Hotel Bradford Elysees is situated close to the Rue Faubourg Saint Honore in the 8th Arrondissement near to one of the other Astotel hotels called Le 123 Elysees, and it is also within easy walking distance of the Champs Elysees and numerous other tourist attractions in Paris.
Located in a Haussmann style building that still retains many of the original features including the impressive and unusual historical lift, feature chimneys and original marble fireplaces through to high ceilings and antiques, not forgetting the portraits of the Bradford family who once own the property that are hanging in different places around this Paris hotel.
In years gone by, the very top floor of a large house or mansion was always for the servants quarters and their accommodation, which would be out of the way of the owners, and still in keeping with the history of the building that is spread over six floors, the very top floor is still only accessible by a set of winding stairs in comparison to the first five being accessed by that lovely period lift, or elevator. However, bar this floor, you will be pleased to know that the Hotel Bradford Elysees is accessible to the disabled and wheelchair users.
An elegant feel with soft pastel colours, you will also see lots of traditional panelling, ornate cornicing, many rooms having large, almost floor to ceiling windows and some have balconies. However, on the Champs Elysees itself, the two nearest Metro stations are the Franklin D Roosevelt stop serving metro lines 1 and 9 or the George V stop serving metro line 1.
Whereas walking in a westerly direction, you will get to the Arc de Triomphe where you will find the Charles de Gaulle - Etoile train station serving the RER A train line along with being a Metro station for metro lines 1, 2 and 6.
