About Hotel Astoria
The Hotel Astoria is part of the Astotel Group and had an interior design makeover back in 2000 by the Maidenberg Architecture company, which was started by Philippe Maidenberg back in the 1990s having formerly studied while working on projects such as The Louvre with I M Pei.
Astotel approached him to design the full refurbishment of the 3 Star Hotel Lorette, which was followed by others including the 4 Star Hotel 123 Sebastopol, and the company has been called upon for numerous other Astotel hotel projects such as the Hotel Joke, Hotel Malte and of course this one, the Hotel Astoria. This has also led to Maidenberg Architecture becoming one of the most renowned companies in Paris for hotel design, even hostels in Paris who have sought the expertise and know-how of the company for the required legislation and stringent regulations that come with operating this form of hospitality business.
