About Bonne Nuit B&B
The Bonne Nuit bed and breakfast accommodation is located within a building that was first constructed in 1609 during the reign of King Henri IV, but after the French Revolution from a single house it was turned into an apartment building.
During the start of the 2000s the building was fully restored and many of the original features were faithfully preserved including the facade dating from the reign of King Louis XVI, the front door with ornamentation from the reign of King Louis Philippe along with the oak staircase.
You will be able to discover original exposed stone work and wooden beams along with some fragments that were sculpted by Jean Goujon for a former building in the area that are now within the lobby, although the rest of the decor is contemporary, modern, stylish and comfortable for a relaxing stay within a historical setting.
It was back in 2007 that the Bonne Nuit Paris B&B first opened, which is run by a husband and wife team, Jean-Luc and Denise who are fluent in French, English, Spanish and German, and have been in Paris since the 1980s. Their children, who were born in Paris, also get involved, and you can book tours of Paris with their daughter Adeline, who is a history graduate from the Sorbonne University in Paris.
When it comes to breakfast at the Bonne Nuit Paris, you will be able to enjoy tea, coffee, milk and fruit juice along with crossants, fresh baguettes, cereals, homemade jam and honey from the hives in Perigord that belong to Jean-Luc. Other items such as fresh seasonal fruit are available upon request.
Your hosts are able to help you get the most out of your stay by providing information and as much assistance as possible, whether it be local restaurant recommendations through to wine tasting, the markets, along with reservations and bookings, plus there is free WiFi internet access.
The Rooms at Bonne Nuit B&B
There are a total of four B&B rooms at the Bonne Nuit Paris, which all vary in their dimensions, all with their own en suite and are separate to the hosts accommodation with a dedicated entrance to these, with two being on the ground floor and two accessed by a set of stairs.
To start with you have the Enclos des Templiers room on the first floor which is approximately 20 metres squared, has a king size bed, exposed stone work, three windows and an en suite shower room. On the same level you then have the Jardin du Marais room, at the same size but with a king size bed and a single bed or three single beds along with two large windows and an en suite shower room.
On the ground floor facing onto the courtyard you have La Cave du Grand Prieur room of the Bonne Nuit B&B, which is approximately 15 metres squared and comes with a French door, king size bed or twin beds, an en suite shower room plus exposed beams and stone walls.
But also on the ground floor facing onto the street there is the L’Echoppe du Grand Prieur, which more like an apartment rather than a B&B as it is spread over an area of approximately 35 metres squared with exposed beams and stone work walls and an authentic tiled floor. You have a king size bed plus a single or two twins making it suitable for up to four people and it also comes with an en suite that has a bath with shower, along with a dining area and a kitchenette.
Access to the Bonne Nuit B&B
As we have mentioned before, Bonne Nuit Paris is located within the Mairais area of Paris in the 3rd Arrondissement close to many Paris tourist attractions, with the Filles du Calvaire being the nearest Metro station serving metro line 8.
However, within a similar distance in another direction you have the Metro station called the Republique stop that serves metro lines 3, 5, 8, 9 and 11, plus the Paris bus lines 20, 56, 75, 91 and 96 will also get you within walking distance, as will the Noctilien Night Bus Service on lines N01, N02, N12, N23, N141 and N142.
