The Eiffel Tower, or Tour Eiffel in French, is the icon of France and the most famous landmark in Paris, which has seen almost 300 million visitors since it first opened in 1889, and is one of the world's most visited monuments, even though it was meant to be destroyed in under 20 years!
At a height of 324 metres, it can be seen from many places, especially with its lights and illuminations that come on every night, not forgetting the beacon and its beams travelling 80 kilometres, but the best view is from the esplanade of the Trocadero Gardens, and with so much history, the technology and events that take place at the Eiffel Tower, it will be around for future generations to enjoy.
