HD photograph of Jardin du Carrousel garden hedges inside Jardin des Tuileries looking north west - Page 93
The Jardin du Carrousel was first laid out after the Palais des Tuileries was demolished after being destroyed by fire, and it was at this time that it became a part of the Tuileries Gardens positioned in between this and the Musee du Louvre, yet the area was transformed in the 1960s to accommodate statues by Maillol.

However the Carrousel Garden of over 6 hectares was completely redesigned in the early part of the 1990s by Jacques Wirtz and Peter Wirtz to better accommodate these statues including features such as the hedges being added as you can see from this view we took looking in a north westerly direction towards the historical Jardin des Tuileries.
