You will find that there are two large statues positioned either side of the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel next to the Jardin du Carrousel section of the Tuileries Gardens, and this particular one is on the southern side, which is closest to the River Seine.

Now this particular stone statue is called L'Histoire, and sculpted back in 1809 by Antoine Francois Gerard, this particular French sculptor was involved in many different decorative aspects for monuments during the reign of Napoleon.
