There are two different very large basins and water features located within the Jardin des Tuileries, which run along the main central alley called the Allee Centrale, and this is a photo we took looking in a northerly direction over the Bassin Octogonal.

And this octagonal basin was one of the features designed by Andre Le Notre and with a team of hundred of masons and gardeners this was constructed in the 1660s when he transformed the area into a Jardin a la Francaise.
