The Jardin du Carrousel came into existence after the Palais des Tuileries was destroyed and is located in an area between the Musee du Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries, that has become a part of this popular free public garden, which is now home to different statues and sculptures by Aristide Maillol, after being renovated in 1995.

And this is a view from the bottom of the steps at the Place du Carrousel, looking north, north east up towards a raised square area of the garden laid out with box hedges, and as you can see, right in the centre is one of the Maillol statues, yet to provide even more of an idea, the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel is behind us and the original part of the Tuileries Gardens is further to the left.
