At the western end of the Jardin des Tuileries after entering the gates by the Place de la Concorde with the Luxor Obelisk you can see in the distance, you will come across a horseshoe architectural feature, which was designed by Andre Le Notre to lead up to two terraces either side of the garden, and here you can see the Rampe Sud and the Fer a cheval area looking in a north westerly direction.

Plus, you can also see a statue group called La Loire et le Loiret, which was sculpted by Corneille van Cleve, originally as a plaster model in 1699 before being produced in marble between the years of 1703 to 1707, which was in the Tuileries Gardens up until 1993, when it was replaced with a copy and the original marble group was placed within the famous Louvre Museum for preservation.
