The Orangerie, now called the Musee de l'Orangerie, was constructed by Napoleon III on the Terrasse du Bord de l'Eau on the southern terrace of the Jardin des Tuileries back in the 1850s, when he also made this area a playground for his son when they were residing at the Palais des Tuileries.

But while the Emperor and his family were not in residence, this area along with the rest of the Tuileries Gardens were open to the public, however, today it is recognised as the museum that holds the Water Lilies paintings by Claude Monet, and here you can see a photo showing the main entrance to this unique museum in Paris.
