HD photograph from Jardin du Carrousel inside Jardin des Tuileries looking west - Page 73
You will find that the Jardin du Carrousel initially became a part of the Jardin des Tuileries after the destruction of the Palais des Tuileries, which was burned during the Paris Commune and later demolished, however, this area was completely re-laid out in the 1990s by Jacques Wirtz and Peter Wirtz.

In fact this particular part of the Tuileries Garden is home to statues by Aristide Maillol, and if you look very carefully, you will see one of these that were donated by Dina Vierny to the City of Paris in 1964, however, you can also see the Eiffel Tower looming above the trees in the distance as we were looking in a westerly direction.
