You will find that the Jardin du Carrousel became a part of the Tuileries Gardens back in the 1800s after the Palais des Tuileries had been destroyed and in the 1960s it became home to several statues by the famous artist Aristide Maillol.

However, what you can see in this photo as we were looking in a south westerly direction as though towards the River Seine, yet past one of these statues by Maillol, you can see a small section of the Jardin du Carrousel, which was re-laid out in 1995 with new hedges planted, etc.
