A Summer Fairground is known as Fete Foraine in French, and these traditional fairgrounds can be found all over Europe including within Paris, and this first HD photo shows a part of the fairground within the Tuileries Gardens called the Fete des Tuileries.
The Fete des Tuileries has been running for several years for two months in the school summer holidays from the end of June to the end of August, and it is one of the largest fun fairs set up in Paris, that has rides and features suitable for young and old, including bumper cars, the Ferris wheel and much more.
So this photo shows one of the rides for smaller children that operates on a track, and it was positioned along the Esplanade des Feuillants within an area of the Tuileries Gardens called the Grand Couvert, which is the section that is covered with approximately 2000 trees of varying species
Here you can see a large gorilla, which is a feature next to another ride, and behind this was another at the Fete des Tuileries, which was called the Flume Ride for those of you who do not mind getting splashed with water, and you will find that there are over 60 different rides and attractions set up for this fun fair in Paris.
Now this is a view looking down the Esplanade des Feuillants towards the Musee du Louvre, which is on the northern side of the Jardin des Tuileries, and you can just see a set of steps that take you up to the terrace and the famous Rue de Rivoli with its arcade buildings.
Whether you enjoy slides, trying your hand at a shooting gallery, testing your aim with the ring game or catching ducks through to more extreme rides like one that will take you round at approximately 140 kilometres per hour, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Fete des Tuileries Summer Fairground.
And with free entry to the Fete Foraine Fete des Tuileries, where you only pay for the rides or attractions you wish to enjoy, there are also plenty of places where you can grab an ice-cream, drink, get traditional Crepes, the fairground favourite of candyfloss or even a more filling snack such as a burger, chips, etc, like from the Chez Jean-Luc Rotisserie you can see here.
