We were walking up towards the Grand Bassin Rond, or large round water pond feature, at the Grand Carre area of the Tuileries Garden, when we took this photo looking south east showing part of the Louvre museum called Pavillon de Flore and some of the statues in the gardens that adorn this outdoor museum.

In fact, the Jardin des Tuileries has been a free public park for hundreds of years, and since 1991 it has been classified as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, although it was not until 2005 that the Musee du Louvre took over full responsibility for managing the gardens and the numerous statues and other decorations you can discover in this open air museum.
