While we were within the Tuileries Gardens, we took this photo looking in a north east, east direction over the Jardin du Carrousel section towards the famous Louvre Museum, who are responsible for the maintenance of these historical former royal gardens, which are now a free public park in the heart of Paris.

And it was between the years of 1991 and 1996 that the Carrousel Gardens were redeveloped by the landscape architects Jacques Wirtz and Peter Wirtz as part of the Grand Louvre project, where labyrinths and low hedges formed like a fan were added, which have been a traditional design feature in many royal gardens, just like you can see here.
