HD photograph of Central pathway inside Jardin des Tuileries looking north westerly - Page 365
We were standing on the Allee Centrale of the Jardin des Tuileries next to the parterre within the Grand Carre area called the Demi-lune carre de fer sud, when we took this photograph looking in a north westerly direction as though we would be heading into the Grand Couvert area, covered with trees, which is beyond the hedge to the right of the image.

Now you will find that the Central Alley is on what is classed as the historical axis, which travels right the way through the garden and is the widest of all the pathways, that was originally designed to provide a perspective from the Tuileries Palace, that unfortunately got destroyed by fire during the Paris Commune.
