HD photograph of Petite salle verte sud inside Jardin des Tuileries looking easterly - Page 329
This is a view looking in an easterly direction over one of the groves in the Grand Couvert area of the Jardin des Tuileries, called the Petite salle verte sud, and to give you even more of an idea, the pathway you can see in between the two grass areas is called the Allee de Castiglione, and this on the southern side of the Allee Centrale.

Now a grove is called a bosquet in French, and there are sixteen within this area of the Tuileries Gardens, which has over 2000 trees within it, plus this area also has some of the more modern sculptures, but as you can see, the notice board on the ground depicts not to walk on the grass, and hence why it is so superbly maintained, but chairs are provided for relaxing by the edges of the lawns.
