It was in the late 1990s and at the start of 2000 that works of modern art and contemporary art were placed within the Jardin des Tuileries to provide a different perspective of these historical gardens, and this is a view looking over one of the groves towards a cafe in the Grand Couvert area with one such sculpture positioned in the middle.

And in a Jardin a la Francais formal garden, a grove is called a bosquet in French, and here you can see one of sixteen different ones, which is called the Salle verte sud-ouest, relating to the fact that this is a green area located in the south west part of the Grand Couvert section of the Tuileries
