This is a view looking in a north westerly direction while we were standing by the steps that lead to the Terrrasse des Feuillants to the right, and then the entrance or exit gates leading to the Rue de Rivoli that you can see, however, on the lower level to the left of the picture you have the Esplanade des Feuilllants within the Jardin des Tuileries.

And we took this photo while standing by a bronze statue of a lion and lioness fighting over a boar, and although this may seem barbaric to some, in the past wild animals were a fascinating subject that many people would never see in their lives, so they were a popular theme for sculptors such as Auguste Nicolas Cain who produced this and several others located within the Tuileries Gardens
