We were in the western part of the Jardin des Tuileries when we took this photograph of the Pomone statue as we were looking in a easterly direction with one of the bosquets in the background called the Salle verte sud-ouest.

Now a bosquet is actually a grove in English and this is one of the features used in a French formal garden known as a Jardin a la Francaise, and you will find that there are a total of sixteen groves within the Grand Couvert area of the Tuileries Gardens that all have different features and numerous trees providing a country style setting, even though it is in the heart of the capital city of Paris.
