We took this photograph looking in a south easterly direction along the fence that separates the Bassin Octogonal from the Salle verte sud-ouest garden area of the Jardin des Tuileries, with the statue of L'Ete in view and further along is L'Hiver statue.

Now both of these statues were originally destined for the Chateau de Versailles, but ended up being placed within the Tuileries Gardens in the 1700s, however, rather than just removing these historical art works for preservation, the statues you can see today are copies or casts of the originals, for the millions of visitors to the gardens to still enjoy.
