With the famous Louvre museum and the Ferris wheel in the background, we took this photo showing the Demi-lune carre de fer nord section of the Grand Carre part of Tuileries garden with flowers in bloom, and incredibly, each spring and autumn around 70,000 plants and bulbs from the gardens at Saint Cloud are planted, making sure they bloom from May to October.

However, there are actually over 2,000 trees and over 125,000 plants and flowers that now make up the historical Jardin des Tuileries, and although flowers were not utilised much in the 1600s, over the years with new discoveries from other countries, exotic plants and flowers were added to this garden, especially during the 1800s.
