Now where we are standing was originally where the Palais des Tuileries would have been and is called the Terrasse des Tuileries, named after the former palace and to the left of the image is the road called the Avenue du General-Lemonnier, which divides the Tuileries Gardens from the famous Musee du Louvre.

So this is a view looking in a south westerly direction with a pavilion of The Louvre showing to the left of the image, which is called the Pavillon de Flore, however, beyond the hedge to the side of the road, even though you cannot see much of it, there is another garden area called the Jardin du Carrousel, that is also now a part of the Tuileries Gardens
