This is a view looking in a north easterly direction past one of the modern art sculptures towards one of the ponds known as an Exedra, and even on a hot summers day, you can still manage to find plenty of areas providing shade from the trees, especially within the Grand Couvert area of the Tuileries Gardens.

In fact, there are over 3000 trees within the Jardin des Tuileries, some of which are very old and have a history, but new trees and different species are also being planted to maintain this historical garden, that has now been classed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
