HD photograph of western entrance gate post for Jardin des Tuileries looking easterly - Page 286
Here you can see one of two winged horses that flank either side of the ornate main entrance gates with the gilding that are located on the western side of the Jardin des Tuileries, and we took this photo looking in an easterly direction into the gardens from the Place de la Concorde.

Now these Pegasus statues were originally sculpted for another chateau that no longer exists, but were moved to the entrance of the Tuileries in the 1700s, however, the originals are now preserved within the Musee du Louvre, who are also responsible for the maintenance of these historical gardens, so what you see today are exact copies of the originals
