There are numerous historical statues that can be found within the Jardin des Tuileries, however, you can also find some more modern monuments and sculptures from the 20th century like this one called The Monument to the Dead of Port Vendres that was produced by Aristide Maillol.

And we took this photograph looking in a southerly direction towards the Pavillon de Flore wing of the Musee du Louvre, while standing at the Place du Carrousel, which is a part of the Jardin du Carrousel section of the Tuileries Gardens that have been maintained by this famous museum since 2005.
