HD photograph of Fer a cheval inside Jardin des Tuileries looking north westerly - Page 272
While we were within the Jardin des Tuileries in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris, we took this photograph looking in a north westerly direction showing the area in the western part of the gardens called the Fer a cheval, which refers to the two ramps on either side designed in a horseshoe shape that take you up to the terraces.

Yet in this image you can also see a part of the Bassin Octogonal and to the left is the Roseraie sud, and as with the rest of the gardens, it was designed to be symmetrical by the famous landscape architect Andre Le Notre, and it is in this part of the Tuileries close to the western entrance at the Place de la Concorde you can see a bust of him as well.
