HD photograph of Jardin du Carrousel inside Tuileries Gardens looking south, south westerly - Page 270
This is a view looking in a south, south westerly direction at a part of the Jardin du Carrousel, which is a section of the Tuileries Gardens maintained by the Musee du Louvre that holds statues by Aristide Maillol, and in the background you can see a wing of the former palace called the Pavillon des Etats.

Now you will find that the Carrousel Garden was first laid out in the late 1800s after the Palais des Tuileries was destroyed by fire and demolished, yet it was in the 1960s that the Maillol statues were added, and then this part of the garden was redesigned in the 1990s, which is how it looks today.
