We took this photo of one of the statues in the Tuileries Garden by the Grand Carre area called Medee, which was sculpted by Jean Baptiste Gasq, although behind this by the beautiful and well kept flowerbeds of the Demi-lune carre de fer sud garden area is one of the historical vases.

Yet the roof top you can see in the background is not The Louvre, as we were looking in a southerly direction, and this is actually the Musee d'Orsay on the opposite side of the River Seine.
