Dina Vierny, the former model and muse of Aristide Maillol donated several of his sculptures to the City of Paris in the 1960s and it was the Minister for Cultural Affairs, Andre Malraux, who decided to have these installed within the Jardin du Carrousel, which is a part of the Tuileries Gardens.

And here you can see a view from right by a statue of a female figure holding apples as we were looking over the hedges within the Carrousel Garden, which was redeveloped by Jacques Wirtz and Peter Wirtz between 1991 and 1996, including adding a traditional feature of boxwood hedges.
