HD photograph manned hydrogen balloon flight plaque inside Jardin des Tuileries looking north easterly - Page 257
Over the centuries many festivities and events have taken place within the Jardin des Tuileries, with one of these being the first manned hydrogen balloon flight, and launched from within the gardens on 1st December 1783, this plaque commemorates this historical event.

And this is a view of the plaque looking in a north easterly direction, positioned within a recess in the wall below the terrace, which holds the Musee Jeu de Paume, and this can be seen right by the western entrance of the Tuileries Gardens in the area called the Fer a Cheval that Andre Le Notre designed.
