We took this photo looking in a north easterly direction over a section of the Grand Carre area of the Jardin des Tuileries called the Demi-lune carre de fer nord where a statue called La Comedie has been positioned, as one of twelve that surround the Grand Bassin Rond.

However, in the background of this image you can see the tops of numerous buildings, which are actually on the Rue de Rivoli that Napoleon Bonaparte had constructed, and you can gain access to this famous arcaded street from the esplanade on the north side of the Tuileries Gardens.
