We were looking in a north easterly direction towards the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel, from the Jardin du Carrousel, which is a part of the historical Jardin des Tuileries that is a free public park in the 1st Arrondissement, open daily and referred to as an open air museum.

And here you can see the statue of Pomone, or in English Pomona, the Roman Goddess of Fruit, that is one of several statues by Aristide Maillol found within this dedicated area of the gardens, which were put in place in 1964 for everyone to be able to enjoy, all thanks to the initiative and donation of these by Dina Vierny.
