We were in the Grand Carre area of the Tuileries Gardens in a section called the Demi-lune Reserve sud looking north east over towards the Grand Bassin Rond past the statue called Le Bon Samaritain, which is one of twelve statues that surround this large pond and water feature.

You will find that the majority of these statues were produced in the 1800s to add even more features to the former royal garden that was first laid out for Catherine Medici, and classed as an open air museum, which is free to the public, the Jardin des Tuileries is also classified as an historical monument in its own right.
