The Tuileries Gardens is split up into many different areas with pathways or alleys in between and this is a photo we took looking along the Allee sous couvert nord, looking in a south easterly direction towards the famous Louvre Museums, which is far in the distance.

Now one of the design features of a French formal Garden was to have an area covered with trees, but away from the royal palace itself, and the Tuileries Gardens has approximately 3000 different trees, with the majority of them being in this particular area called the Grand Couvert.
