Baigneuse Se Coiffant is one of the statues by Aristide Maillol that is located within the Jardin du Carrousel, which is a section of the Tuileries Gardens, and we took this photo while looking in a south, south easterly direction towards the steps that lead up to the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel.

Yet when you look at the history of this particular area, you will find that the garden and triumphal arch were named after a type of jousting tournament, which unfortunately originally killed King Henri II who was the husband of Catherine de Medici, so after this tragedy it then became more of a horse skill performance, and this was organised here in the courtyard in 1662 for King Louis XIV, to celebrate the birth of his son.
