Although there are many historical statues located in the Jardin des Tuileries, in 1998 the French President, Jacques Chirac decided to add some modern art sculptures, and from then right through to the year 2000 modern and contemporary art works have been installed, including some from living artists.

And this is a photo we took facing towards the southern terrace overlooking the River Seine, while looking at the Reclining Figure sculpture by Henry Moore, which is positioned below the Terrasse du Bord de l'Eau that will take you to the Musee de l'Orangerie in the Tuileries Gardens.
