HD photograph of Vivier Sud inside Jardin des Tuileries looking south, south easterly - Page 239
This photo shows one of the two small ponds located within the Grand Carre area of the Jardin des Tuileries, which is located on the south eastern side of the garden and called the Vivier Sud, this was a feature installed by Andre Le Notre in the 1600s.

However, as a part of the Grand Louvre project that was first announced by the French President Francois Mitterrand in 1981, the Tuileries Gardens were also to be renovated and eventually in 2011 a closed circuit water distribution system was completed for all of the ponds, which makes the historical gardens even more eco friendly.
