On a lovely summers day you can always see people relaxing on the free chairs that are put out around the large basin and water feature within the Jardin des Tuileries, and although it has changed over the years, it still has a formal layout of a typical French garden, but in 2011 the water distribution system for all the different ponds was completed with a more ecologically friendly closed circuit system.

And we took this photo from the Allee Centrale looking over the Grand Bassin rond in an easterly direction, towards the famous Louvre Museum and the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel in the distance.
