In this photograph you can see a bronze animal sculpture called Tiger Slaying a Crocodile, and wild animals, especially lions and tigers were a popular subject back in the 1800s, and this particular one was sculpted by the renowned animalier Auguste Nicolas Cain.

Now this particular statue is located within the Grand Carre area of the Jardin des Tuileries by a small round basin called the Vivier nord, and it is positioned on a parterre called the Grand Reserve nord, which is at the eastern end of the Tuileries Gardens before the hedge you can see here, that separates this area from the Jardin du Carrousel part of the gardens.
