At one point when the first ever manned hydrogen balloon took off from the Tuileries Gardens people had to pay to obtain a chair to see this event up close, however, today there are free green chairs and relaxers, which are put out all over the Jardin des Tuileries, like you can see here, close to one of the water features.

So this particular basin with its water fountain is called the Vivier sud, which is located in the south eastern part of the gardens in the Grand Carre section, and this is the direction we were looking with the Musee du Louvre in the background.
