We were in a parterre called the Petit Reserve sud, which is one the formal sections of the Grand Carre area of the Tuileries Gardens, and here you can see a statue called Mort de Lais, that was sculpted by Roland Mathieu-Meusnier.

Now this is on the southern side close to the River Seine, and we took this photo looking in a north westerly direction, which means we were facing towards the Place de la Concorde and the famous tourist attractions of the Louvre Museum was just a short walk behind us
