You will get to see lots of statues that look like large plant pots or vases positioned on top of pedestals, and this is a photo we took of the Demi-lune Reserve sud section of Tuileries Garden, showing one of these with the magnificent Musee du Louvre in the background.

Incredibly, some of these vases date back hundreds of years and were originally at the Chateau de Versailles or the former castle called the Chateau de Marly, which is where many of the statues were retrieved from and placed within the Jardin des Tuileries to save them from destruction when the old royal hunting lodge of Marly was demolished.
