Located on the northern side of the Jardin des Tuileries by the Esplanade des Feuillants you have a set of steps that lead up to the Terrasse des Feuillants, which is where you can gain access to the famous Rue de Rivoli with its arcade buildings, although the terrace itself was constructed centuries before.

Yet, in this photo, as we were looking in a north, north westerly direction, you can also see that the entrance is flanked by two large bronze statue groups of animals and these were both sculpted by the famous animalier sculptor, Auguste Nicolas Cain that were placed in the gardens in the 1800s.
