We were standing by the steps leading to the Terrasse des Feuillants and the Rue de Rivoli in the northern part of the Jardin des Tuileries, when we took this high definition panoramic photo looking towards the Jeu de Paume in one direction and the Musee du Louvre in the other.

However, to give you even more of an idea, the trees in front of us are a part of the Grand Couvert area of the Tuileries Gardens where you will find a traditional childrens carousel, or merry-go-round, and the wide alley that you can see is called the Esplanade des Feuillants, which has a monument in it, along with a lone tree dedicated as The Oak of the Republic that was planted by the French President, Francois Mitterrand.
