We were looking in a north easterly direction from the Demi-lune carre de fer sud grass area with its flowerbeds, over to the Grand Bassin rond, which is located within the Grand Carre section of the Jardin des Tuileries that is closest to the Jardin du Carrousel and the Musee du Louvre.

Now the Tuileries Gardens is classed as an open air museum and a historical monument, and you can probably understand why, when you look closely at this image with the numerous different vases and statues that are positioned all the way around the Large round Basin, most of which, were sculpted in the 1800s.
